'Love lies bleeding'

"Alas, fair Ývësolinţhia. The blood in my heart will ever flow, only for Thee...
My love."

The sun having nearly set, the shadows seemed long as time. For it was late, and late it was.

Srægönorth's skiff slowly slid into the G'örnk Sea.

More beautiful then any pearl, and sharper then any diamond, that single tear seemd a' cut into Ývësolin's ashen cheek, as she sang:

"The love that flows within thy veins
Flows in Our hearts, and now it pains.
An every time, till I be old,
The child is for Thee I hold.
For in my swollen belly be,
Thy blood that shall ever, carry on for... Thee."

The points on his ears twitched foreward. Srægönorth's stunned voice whispered, "You mean...?"

"Yes!" She cried, "He is of Thee. He is of THEE!"

Aware, he was, mayhap never again to gaze upon those beautiful eyes.
Eyes that, once, he had compaired to the wonderous twin Saphires of Gl'ar-ŇithöŢosuk.

"Thee... forever!" was all he could say.

For, as Srægönorth spun in dance, his face swiftly introduced itself to his wife Rapûgönorth's mighty frying pan.

I've always found the story of Srægönorth and Ývësolinţhia very touching.
Well, most of the story, anyway.
Chapter 48, as most of you will agree, was just plain sick, even for the Dark Ages!
But, then again, without the events in chapter 48, they never would have met, and we would never have gotten to know the Luchorpán (which, in modern times, became known as "Leprechauns")!

This necklace is my interpretation of the necklace that Srægönorth gave to Ývësolinţhia, upon their parting.
I've been wanting to make this necklace for a long time.
Now that it's done, I can finally let the story go...

[Edit] Ok, everything above this line was just a silly joke, written several months ago. I completely forgot it was even there!
It was for somebody's contest, or journal, or something else, I really don't even remember what....
But it is SO silly, that I don't dare delete it! You never know when a bit of silliness will be needed.
Such as an ex-parrot, or can of ...

The piece is really just my take on the necklace from The Titanic, as the name implies.

So, here is a new pic, one that I'm happier with.

Made in Bright Aluminum and Blue Fiber Optic beads, one of which is a blue heart.
16" long, intended as a choker, but can be worn as a normal necklace.

I wanted this one to find a good home...
