GnR Logo

I would like to first mention that the design is a borrowed from a Guns n Roses logo. I only did one drawing of it. It is not for sale, and is only included here to demonstrate what I was drawig at the time.
They made some killer music (did "80's boy" just say "killer"?), I'd suggest to go buy some!

Actually, this was a commission piece, but I never delivered and never collected, it would have felt weird to anyway.

A friend asked my to draw it 14x17 from an audio cassette box, the picture of their logo was about 2 inches square. That was my specialty then, was drawing blow-ups of cassette pix and other photos, mostly to give as gifts. It was my best work technically, but to be honest I can't take any artistic credit, as it was originally someone elses work. I wish I had access to all the stuff I did then, to scan and share with you, but those were done for different people, in a different time.
The world has moved on...

All free-handed, except for sketching out the circles and straight lines.
Done on some kind of paper, 10.25x12.72 inches (WHERE did I get THAT size??), with some kind .01 fine markers in black, green, red, and brown, and colored pencils.
As I finally realized a short time later, that I never should have used pencil over the colored fine lines. It does fill in the color more, but you lose the subtlety that was done with the fine lines. Avoid this if possible.

By the way, thans GnR for a killer logo!

Also, if I am in violation of any copyright or deviantART rules, please let me know, and I'll remove it asap.
But that's why it's in "FanArt", it's just here to demonstrate what I could do then.

I'd like to credit Guns n Roses on this. I'd also like to credit the original artist, but I don't know who he was. If anyone knows, feel free to let me know, and I'll update this discription.
